Swings at Broadstone Playing Field

I am very pleased to be able to report that, at the TUCC meeting on Monday May 21st it was decided that the seats and chains of the swings will be replaced.  TUCC will pay for this (approximately £400 + VAT) and for the required professional annual inspection (approximately £100 each year). However the re-instatement of the swings has only been made possible by Miranda Thomason agreeing to take responsibility for the weekly inspections.   We are required to have the equipment inspected weekly and a full log maintained.  Without this our insurance company would exclude the swings from our indemnity cover in the event of an accident.  The cost of paying someone to visit the village every week to carry out the inspections would have been prohibitive.
